Do Banks Sell Stamps?

Do Banks Sell StampsDo banks sell stamps? Believe it or not there are several banks that sell US postage stamps. Not all banks though and for that reason we have listed the specific ones that do below.

When you buy stamps at a financial institution like a bank, you pay the same rates as you would at a post office. The only difference is that banks sell single stamps and not books of stamps. So if you are buying stamps at a bank you will need to know how many you need for your envelope or parcel.

The advantage of buying them at a bank is convenience, but  that’s about it. They don’t carry a variety of stamps, nor do they have the quantity options, and they generally have the same type of hours as a post office.

To purchase stamps at a bank all you need to is ask the teller. They may need to go and get them out of the vault  or safe below the counter as many of them don’t keep stamps up at the register.  You don’t need to have an account at the bank in order to purchase postage stamps.

What is the Best Bank For Postage Stamps

Can you buy stamps at a bank…yes, but only a few and Wells Fargo is clearly the winner here. They have more locations spread throughout the US than other financial institutions and some of their ATM’s sell stamps. When it comes to banking hours and options for purchasing US postage stamps all these companies above are generally the same.

Wells Fargo also has some west coast ATM’s that distribute stamps. I am sure in the future this will be a nationwide trend for not just Wells Fargo, but many other banks as well. There are other banks that sell stamps, like Bank of America, but we left them off our list because they don’t carry them in all their locations.
